Raja is a Managing Director at Churchill and leads the firm’s Venture Capital and Growth Equity strategy. In his role, he invests in venture capital funds across stages and growth stage technology companies in fintech, enterprise tech, health tech, prop tech, blockchain, and climate tech sectors.
Prior to joining Churchill in 2022, he founded Churchill’s parent company TIAA’s Strategic Fintech Venture Capital program in 2018, where he built a portfolio of top-tier fintech and enterprise tech venture capital fund investments. Previously, he was the Head of Digital and Fintech strategy for TIAA’s retirement business. Prior to his tenure at TIAA, Raja spent 12 years at 7&I Holdings, where he founded and built several businesses at the intersection of retail, mobile and payments technologies. Raja also founded 7-Ventures, a venture capital subsidiary of 7&I holdings that invests in technology and consumer goods start-ups.
Raja graduated from Nagarjuna University, India with a B. Tech in Civil Engineering. He received his M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University and his Masters in Computer Science from La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia.
